Summary -
Utah Valley State College (soon to be UVU) hosts the 21st Annual Auto Expo and Swap Meet. The event welcomes thousands of spectators and features more than 600 car entries - each vying for one of nearly 110 awards. The day is filled with great cars and family entertainment. In addition to the car show, guests may attend the largest Automotive Swap Meet in Utah that draws people from all over the northwest. Proceeds exceeding show costs are donated to scholarships for auto, diesel, and collision repair students at UVSC.

Scot or not, all are welcome at the 34th Anual Utah Scottish Festival & Highland Games, June 13-14, at Thanksgiving Point. Join 12,000 of our closest friends at this increasingly popular event for Scottish dancing and Highland athletics. More than 40 clan tents, 5 fabulous musical groups, ethnic food, vendors, 9 pipe bands, tattos, kid's games, and much more all set amid Utah's own Highlands.

Hear cannon fire signal the Tattoo’s beginning and see an ancient tradition when the Chieftain calls for the clans to gather by torchlight. Fireworks conclude Friday night. Saturday, see athletic events at the U.S. National Highland Athletic Championship. See cultural displays, Highland dance, kilt making, and weaving demonstrations.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens Plein Air Art Festival hosts Utah painters and sculptors working “en plein air.” Pieces completed will be for sale during the Silent Auction Saturday, June 21, and all Plein Air Art Festival patrons’ tickets include re-admission for this event.

Summary
Ageless Animation and Secret Lab Studios have found a home at Thanksgiving Point, transforming the Discovery Room at the Museum of Ancient Life into a magical display of characters and sets featured in the films produced by the companies.

According to Chris and Nathan Smith, Ageless proprietors, the group specializes in the development of animated children’s content and stopmotion (claymation) production. Current projects include a series of Holiday classics like Twas the Night Before Christmas and originals like Cupid –The First Valentine’s Day.

Tours are welcome during Museum hours of 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children. For more information call 801.885.2814.
